Management Team

Steven W. Jacobson, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Founder developed the international cost containment model widely emulated today. Under Mr. Jacobson's leadership Olympus continues to lead the market by developing and implementing new products and services which contribute to industry leading savings and service. He has over 20 years of experience in the business formerly working as Counsel for John Alden Life Insurance Company and Vice-President for HCA owned Health Advantage Network. Mr. Jacobson is active in many community activities including Young Presidents Organization.

Ronald A. Davis, Chief Financial Officer has 30 years experience in the insurance industry. He is responsible for finance and administration at Olympus. Prior to his association with Olympus, Mr. Davis served in a number of financial executive positions with AIG as well as the General Manager for AIG's Life and Accident & Health Division in Canada. Mr. Davis also has over 10 years experience in the Caribbean and Latin American Health Care industry, working as a consultant to various international companies operating in the health care market.

Javier Saenz-Newland M.D., Director of Medical Management, is a graduate of the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico City, Mexico. He has a degree in Medicine and is one of the pioneers in the business of International Healthcare Management in Mexico. He has more that 10 years of experience working with insurance companies and administrators alike on both domestic/international claims and cost containment. He has worked for the private healthcare sector and insurance industry in Mexico, and also taught International healthcare management endorsed by a major University in Mexico.

Roberto Ruadez, Director Call Center has been in the health care industry his entire professional career. Has 11 years of experience managing and overseeing all aspects of a call center in the health care industry and since joining Olympus more than 6 years ago, he has implemented several plans and procedures to ensure costumer satisfaction and client retention. His background in industrial engineering, knowledge of communications, quality assurance and vast experience in health care and travel insurance are a valuable addition to our management team.

Ryan Lee, Director of Sales and Marketing has 17 years industry experience through prior roles at ISA Ltd, Siemens and Mapfre Asistencia. Ryan has worked in many capacities of corporate development including Marketing, Sales, Project and General Management. His work with domestic and international Insurers/Administrators within the Travel Health Insurance industry has fostered a thorough understanding of claims management, cost containment, and assistance services. Ryan studied Economics/Philosophy at University of Western Ontario and is currently enrolled in the University of Toronto's SCS Business Management program.

Caridad S. Acevedo, RN, BSN, CCM , MBA Director of Operations. Caridad "Carrie" Acevedo joined Olympus in 1999 as a Nurse Case Manager and assisted in the development of the Case Management Department. In 2000, she received her CCM (Certified Case Manager) appointment from the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC). After serving as Director of Account Management and subsequently promoted to Director of Operations. Caridad received her Bachelors of Science in nursing degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida and worked at Baptist Hospital of Miami as a Registered Nurse.

Richard Lackey, Director of Information Technology, has over twenty years of Information Technology experience with a strong background in both systems development and infrastructure management. He has a BS degree from Bluefield State College; has completed Florida International University's Advanced Project Management program; and has several technical certifications including Microsoft Certified DBA and ITIL Foundations 3.0. Richard has a diverse business background including call center, supply chain, patient care case management, mortgage origination, and finance. He started his career with Electronic Data Systems and has held senior consulting roles with Compuware Corporation, ATT, Kemper National Insurance, and Vitas Hospice Corporation. He has also operated his own consulting practice for several years servicing small and medium sized businesses in the Miami area. Richard brings enterprise level "best practices" experience coupled with an entrepreneurial background.
